Our Mission:The Wicker Park Committee is a non-profit community organization committed to our neighborhood since 1973. As a group, WPC is dedicated to improving the quality of life in our area. Working in liaison with other community institutions, city government, businesses and neighbors, WPC is a strong voice on key issues, including cultural, community, development, and social, impacting change and improving the community. With a critical role in reviewing all development within the Historic Wicker Park Disrict and zoning issues in the greater neighborhood, WPC works hard to help and guide our community towards positive growth and evolution. We encourage you to help us further define our neighborhood.
Wicker Park, is a mosaic of people and history. Our neighborhood has a vivid and varied architectural past; a culturally diverse population, and a wonderful mixture of commercial, residential, and artistic locales. The members of the Wicker Park Committee - your fellow neighbors - invite you to actively participate in the continuing story of Wicker Park. |
